There are many ways you can save money, like buying a used Nissan at James Ceranti Nissan or doing free activities in the area. From local events to historic landmarks, there are many places you can visit to spend an afternoon without breaking the bank. Check out any one of these things to do near Greenville.
Lake Chicot State Park
According to Trip Advisor users, you should consider spending a day at Lake Chicot State Park. Located near the Mississippi River, this park is perfect for birdwatching, swimming, and fishing. Plus, there are affordable cabins and campsites if you do decide to stay overnight.
Be sure to visit Winterville Mounds. This 42-acre site near Greenville has Native American mounds and a museum, and it’s open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Best of all, it’s free to the public. You can learn more about the mounds left by indigenous groups, including a massive 55-foot Temple Mound. The University of Mississippi’s Center for Archaeological Research frequently studies the area.
You can also visit the 1927 Flood Museum to learn about local history, or consider visiting the Hebrew Union Temple to view its stunning architecture. Constructed in 1906, the Temple has stained glass and a distinct style compared to many other buildings in this region.
Just a short drive away is Leland, which has the Birthplace of Kermit the Frog Museum, the Highway 61 Blues Museum, and Lake Monocnoc.
These are just some of the many fun (and affordable) things to do in the area that we at James Ceranti Nissan suggest. If you’re in the area, come visit us when you need a new or used Nissan vehicle.
