Here at James Ceranti Nissan, we can’t wait for January. We know, we know—the calendar has only just turned to August, but we can’t help it. You see, Nissan is planning to unveil an all-new Nissan Titan pickup truck at the 2015 North American International Auto Show in Detroit this coming January, and we just can’t take the long wait. Thank goodness for Torque News, though—they recently put together a wish list for the new 2016 Nissan Titan, and we devoured the list and now we’d like to share it with you as well.
You can read that article on the Torque News website, where you’ll see that the Titan is expected to include more—and bigger—powertrain options. First and foremost, you should see a Cummins diesel engine option, a 5.0L V8 Turbo Diesel Engine that will deliver massive numbers. Of course, that diesel engine, and other powertrain options, will also help the Titan bring better gas mileage to the table for the next generation of truck drivers.
Check out the rest of Torque News’ wish list, and then maybe even add your own items to that list. And, of course, come see us here at James Ceranti to check out the Titan—and the rest of the Nissan lineup—for yourself today.
The auto industry is always looking towards the future. It seems 2014 has barely begun, and we’re already talking about 2015 and even 2016 models. Our favorite carmaker already has plans for the 2015 Detroit Auto Show, where the brand will unveil the redesigned 2016 Nissan Titan.
According to Fred Diaz, Nissan’s North American senior vice president of sales, the redesigned Titan “will get us into 93 percent of the market segment.”
This is because the 2016 Nissan Titan will boast key options that previous generations have lacked. This includes engine options and a regular cab. Edmunds reports that the 2016 Titan should have three engine choices, including a V6, V8, and a diesel V6.
Diaz and Nissan Trucks just made waves recently at the 2014 Chicago Auto Show, where the Frontier Diesel Runner Concept Powered by Cummins was revealed.
We think three powertrain options are great additions to the Titan, which is in need of some updates in order to catch the eye of discerning truck buyers. We’ll mark our calendars for Detroit Auto Show next January and keep our eyes out for the 2016 Nissan Titan reveal. In the meantime, stop out and see us here at James Ceranti Nissan to test drive a Titan or Frontier today!
