Nissan LEAF Only Plug-In on List of IHS Automotive Loyalty Awards

IHS Automotive Loyalty Awards

The LEAF is among the ranks of the best by earning an IHS Automotive Loyalty Award.

Since its debut, the Nissan LEAF has captured the hearts of customers and the acclaim of critics. The award-winning electric vehicle was most recently named the best Non-Luxury Traditional Compact Car on the annual list of IHS Automotive Loyalty Awards.

The LEAF flew solo as the only plug-in vehicle to receive an IHS Loyalty Award.

“Since entering the market in 2010, the Nissan LEAF has steadily gained supporters throughout the U.S.,” said Toby Perry, Nissan LEAF director of marketing. “While the majority of original buyers were electric vehicle enthusiasts, we’re now seeing more and more ‘regular’ car buyers fall in love with LEAF because of its many financial benefits, fun-to-drive nature and roomy interior. Our LEAF fans are some of the most loyal customers in the world, and we’re thrilled to see that validated with this IHS award.”

As proof of the LEAF’s popularity among EV owners, the vehicle became the first electric plug-in to surpass 30,000 sales in a single year.

With its efficiency, distinctive styling, spacious interior, and affordable price, it’s easy to see why so many LEAF owners in search of a new vehicle have chosen to purchase or lease another LEAF.
