The Nissan GT-R Skyline has intrigued sports car enthusiasts since the 1960s. Since its inception, the GT-R had trouble coming stateside until the 2000s – when it dropped the “Skyline” part of its name and became the Nissan GT-R.
Even though the U.S. hasn’t always been part of the GT-R’s history, we can still recognize its longtime place in the performance car segment with a special celebratory edition.
The 50th Anniversary Edition of the GT-R will be available in three trims, which include Premium, Track, and the range-topping NISMO. You can opt for the choice of Bayside Blue with white stripes, Pearl White with red stripes, or Super Silver with white stripes. Each color comes with an exclusive grey interior.
Powered by a twin-turbocharged V6 engine, the Nissan GT-R 50th Anniversary Edition will deliver a staggering 565 horsepower and 467 lb-ft of torque. The Track and NISMO editions bump this even further to an upgraded 600-hp powertrain. The transmission, steering, and suspension have all been designed to deliver top-of-the-line performance.
The Nissan GT-R 50th Anniversary Edition is going on sale with the 2020 model year. There is no information yet on the pricing, but you can contact James Ceranti Nissan to be notified about this limited-edition vehicle.
